Refund and cancellation policy for CarModSnap

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Refund Policy applies to all paid plans, subscriptions, and credit purchases made on CarModSnap (https://carmodsnap.com), operated by Frank, an independent developer ("we", "us", "our").

CarModSnap provides digital AI visualization software and credits only. We do not sell or ship physical car parts, wraps, wheels, body kits, or installation services through this website.

Payments are processed by our payment provider Creem (and, where applicable, additional payment processors disclosed at checkout). Charges on your statement may appear under our payment provider's descriptor.

2. Subscription Cancellation

  • You can cancel an active subscription at any time from Settings → Billing.
  • After cancellation, your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period; you keep access to paid features and any unused credits granted within that period until it ends, after which the subscription will not renew.
  • We do not charge any cancellation fee.
  • Cancellation alone does not automatically issue a refund. To request a refund, see Section 3.

3. Refund Eligibility

We offer a 7-day refund window for first-time paid charges, subject to the conditions below. Because CarModSnap provides digital content and AI generation credits that may be consumed immediately after purchase, refund eligibility depends on both timing and usage.

You are eligible for a full refund of a charge if all of the following are true:

  1. Your refund request reaches us within 7 calendar days of the original charge.
  2. No more than 20% of the credits granted by that charge have been used at the time you submit the request (this is to prevent abuse while still protecting users who barely used the service).
  3. The charge is not a renewal of an existing subscription that you previously had the chance to cancel before renewal.
  4. Your account has not been suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service.

If your request meets these conditions, we will issue a full refund to the original payment method.

If your request does not fully meet these conditions, we may, at our discretion, offer a partial refund, account credit, or decline the refund. We will always reply with a reason.

If a refund is approved, any unused credits, paid-plan access, and commercial usage rights granted by that charge may be removed from the account when the refund is processed.

4. Charges That Are Generally Not Refundable

  • Renewal charges of a subscription you had the option to cancel before the renewal date.
  • Charges where more than 20% of the credits granted by that charge have already been used.
  • AI generation requests that have already been submitted to upstream providers, including failed or low-quality outputs caused by prompts, source-image quality, or subjective design preference, unless a verified platform or billing error occurred.
  • Refund requests submitted more than 7 calendar days after the charge.
  • Add-on credit packs, promotional credit purchases, or one-time top-ups after credits have been substantially consumed.
  • Charges associated with accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service, fraudulent activity, or chargeback abuse.

This section is subject to mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence (see Section 8).

5. Trials and Promotional Offers

  • If a free trial is offered, the specific trial length, conversion behavior, and any non-refundability after conversion will be displayed at checkout and on the pricing page.
  • Promotional pricing, discount codes, and limited-time offers follow the same 7-day refund rule above unless an additional restriction is shown at checkout.
  • We do not refund the difference if a price drops or a new promotion launches after your purchase.

6. Refund Processing Time

  • Approved refunds are submitted to our payment provider within 2 business days of approval.
  • Funds typically appear on your original payment method within 5–10 business days after that, depending on your bank, card issuer, or payment method.
  • For refunds that require currency conversion, the converted amount may differ from the original charge due to exchange-rate movement; we are not able to compensate for exchange-rate differences.

7. Duplicate Charges and Billing Errors

If you see a duplicate charge, an unrecognized charge, or a clear billing error, contact us at admin@carmodsnap.com with your order ID or the email used at checkout. We will investigate and, if a billing error is confirmed, issue a full refund of the affected amount regardless of the 7-day window in Section 3.

If you believe credits were deducted without a generation request being created, include the approximate time of the attempt and any screenshot or error message. We may restore credits instead of issuing a cash refund where the issue is limited to account balance correction.

8. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable refund or cancellation rights you may have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence (for example, EU/UK consumer rights for digital content or U.S. state-level consumer protection rules). Where those rules grant you a stronger right than this policy, those rules apply.

9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

We strongly prefer to resolve billing issues directly. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute before contacting us:

  • May cause your account to be suspended pending investigation;
  • May result in forfeiture of remaining credits on the account;
  • May result in permanent account closure if the dispute is determined to be abusive or fraudulent.

Please always email admin@carmodsnap.com first — most issues can be resolved within 1–2 business days.

10. How to Request a Refund

Send an email to admin@carmodsnap.com with:

  • The email address used on your CarModSnap account
  • The order ID or transaction ID from your receipt
  • A short description of the reason for the refund
  • Whether you want subscription cancellation only, a refund review, or help with a billing error

We will respond within 3 business days with the decision and, if approved, the next steps.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "updated_at" date. The version of the policy that applies to a given charge is the version in effect on the date that charge was made.
